Position SummaryAs a member of the Innovation Equipment team, this person will be responsible for managing equipment performance and factory metrics in collaboration with Fab Engineering teams and equipment vendors. The position will require strong knowledge of semiconductor equipment operation and maintenance, in order to analyze equipment data, develop solutions, and ensure actions are implemented. Additionally, this role will need to exhibit strong communication skills in order to lead cross‑functional teams internally to Samsung and externally with equipment vendors and OEMs.
Roleand Responsibilities
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Manage OEM vendors performance and provide feedback for support, parts, process improvements and to elevate critical business needs in a timely manner.
- Create and maintain a report card system to track key supplier performance metrics and drive improvement plans.
- Manage fab‑wide equipment engineering improvement projects across cross‑functional teams and business units.
- Work with fab engineering teams to analyze equipment gap‑to‑goal and drive initiatives to meet performance metrics.
- Present staff and executive level presentations, proposals and status reports to drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate, interact and elevate with OEM Executive Leadership for continuous improvement, supply‑chain issues and technical support.
- Possess expert understanding of semiconductor equipment and be capable of shifting focus of individual goals when priorities change.
- Use data analysis and lean methodology to reduce inefficiencies with multiple engineering teams.
- Collaborate with equipment analytics and solutions teams to interpret data and implement novel solutions for cross‑functional teams.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- B.S. in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering preferred. Other engineering or manufacturing degrees accepted.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry with vendor‑management experience required.
- Knowledge of theory of operations and equipment maintenance preferred.
- PMP or project‑management certification is a plus.
- Experience working with OEM vendors (TEL, LAM, AMAT, ASML, etc.) to drive continuous improvement and provide constructive feedback to improve site support.
- Project‑management experience with a Lean methodology background; able to manage multiple parallel projects in a dynamic environment with conflicting priorities and changing scope.

- Data‑analysis and visualization skills in TIBCO Spotfire or similar software.
- Programming experience in Python, SQL, HTML is a plus.
- Full‑stack development and cloud‑computing experience is a plus.
