Our client is a custom machine builder serving automotive & aerospace markets. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who can lead Mechanical and Controls Engineers, bring structure to engineering execution, and stay close to the technical work. The company is positioned for growth, including expansion into the drone manufacturing market, and this role will play a key part in supporting that growth while helping shape the future of the engineering department.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of Mechanical and Controls Engineers while supporting recruiting and team growth
- Manage engineering schedules, budgets, resources, and customer communication across active projects
- Drive engineering standards, process improvements, and hands‑on technical execution on key projects
- 7+ years of experience in custom automation, machine building, or capital equipment engineering
- Experience leading engineers or engineering projects
- Qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR requirements
