Position: Intelligent Transportation System Specialist, District Traffic

Role Overview

The Intelligent Transportation System Specialist, District Traffic, will independently program, install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex traffic signal and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) devices. The role requires a basic understanding of relative Ohio Revised Code (ORC) sections, Ohio Manual of Uniform Traffic control Devices (OMUTCD) manual, and Traffic Engineering Manual (TEM) to ensure compliance and public safety.

What You Will Do

The Specialist will utilize computer and related software, diagnostic test equipment, and other various tools to remotely monitor traffic signal and ITS systems, gather data, and make necessary adjustments. They will also review construction plans, conduct final inspections, and develop punch lists of items to be addressed after inspection.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate core in electrical engineering or engineering and transportation technology, with 36 months of experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical circuits and traffic signal components. They will also have 60 months of combined electrical training and/or experience, including 60 months of traffic signal or ITS related training and/or experience.

Requirements
