Turfway Park Racing & Gaming is a gaming facility in Florence, Kentucky. Turfway Park Racing & Gaming features 850 popular, thrilling, state-of-the-art HRM games, a simulcast area with VIP section, event center, live horse racing, restaurants and bars.

JOB SUMMARY

At Turfway Park Racing and Gaming, the Banquet Lead will oversee daily operations, supervise team members, and ensure that our customers receive outstanding service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with the Event Manager and Seasonal Banquet Team to execute a variety of events.
  • Work with the Event Manager to complete a variety of administrative tasks, including ordering items for events, creating staff schedules, approving payroll, hiring and training new team members and maintaining property inventory counts.
  • Oversee and heavily participate in the set up and breakdown of event spaces.
  • Alongside the Event Manager, Supervise team members, assign duties, and create team member schedules.
  • Monitor performance and ensure duties are performed efficiently.
  • Report any issues that arise during the shift to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor as a representative of Turfway Park to our clients and guests.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in Events
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience a plus!
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
