- Build relationships with customers through in-person, appointment-based, and virtual engagement
- Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs
- Obtain and process customer and account information
- Demonstrate and educate clients on deposit and loan products and services
- Recommend solutions based on customers’ unique goals and needs
- Conduct proactive client outreach and follow-up
- Maintain knowledge of consumer and business banking products, services, and digital offerings
- Greet clients and process basic transactions
- Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners
- Open new consumer and business accounts
- Complete service requests and submit credit applications
- Educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services
- Leverage resources and technologies to optimize client experience and operational accuracy
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Typically one to two years of job-related retail banking experience for Client Relationship Consultant 1, or equivalent experience and commensurate training
- Alternatively, three to four years for level 2, four to five years for level 3, or five or more years for level 4
- Proven ability to build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up
- Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
- Knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems
- Knowledge of retail banking products and services
- Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
- Ability to identify customers’ needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Experience in financial services preferred
- NMLS registration required under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
- Must complete required NMLS registration process, including criminal background and credit checks
- Must comply with U.S. Bank policies, procedures, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and workplace conduct and safety policies
Demonstrates expertise in building client relationships and providing tailored banking solutions, with a strong understanding of retail banking products and services. Proficient in utilizing digital tools to enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency.
