Organization: All Aboard Ohio
Location: Remote (Ohio-based applicants preferred)
Type: Unpaid Internship (Academic credit available upon request)
Duration: 10–15 weeks | Approx. 8–10 hours per week

Position Summary

All Aboard Ohio is looking for a detail-oriented and policy-savvy Policy Intern to support our advocacy work around passenger rail and public transportation. This intern will assist in monitoring legislation, conducting research, and helping prepare materials for decision-makers and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track federal, state, and local transportation policy developments
  • Conduct research on transportation trends, ridership data, and funding mechanisms
  • Draft briefs, fact sheets, and summaries of legislative proposals
  • Support campaign and coalition-building efforts around AAO’s policy priorities
  • Attend or monitor public meetings, hearings, and webinars when applicable
Preferred Qualifications
  • Interest in public policy, urban planning, political science, or transportation
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Ability to analyze legislation and communicate it clearly
  • Experience using data and presenting findings in a concise format
  • Organized, curious, and eager to learn
