Planning Supervisor - Franklin County

Franklin County Fiscal Court is seeking applications for the position of Planning Supervisor with the Planning and Building Codes Department. This position reports directly to the Planning and Building Codes Director.

Responsibilities include the administration of planning, zoning, subdivision and development regulations.

Tasks involve a broad range of planning activities, including the development of planning policy and changes to land use regulations, site plan reviews, preparation of technical reports and recommendations of items before both the Planning Commission and Board of Adjustments, review of all developments and subdivisions within Franklin County.

The successful candidate will offer the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Geography or related field and two years of related work experience; knowledge of planning statutes and planning processes; computer literacy and proficiency on Geographic Information System software; the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with a wide variety of groups and individuals. The ideal candidate will also be a team player, highly motivated, organized and capable of handling multiple public processes.

Salary Range: $47,300-$78,800; including benefits package
