Position: Pharmacy Technician (Resource Center) *Night Shift

Overview

Health System Pharmacy contributes to Cardinal Health by providing customized pharmacy program solutions that reduce costs and improve patient care quality for hospitals, health systems and other integrated healthcare providers. It may also consult with and advise healthcare teams on prescribed medications, supplies and related processes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed pharmacists with the order entry process for different hospitals and ensure compliance with all local and federal regulations for medical orders
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of the policies and procedures regarding procurement, storage, preparation and delivery of pharmaceuticals in hospital and health system settings
  • Process physician orders for review by a pharmacist
  • Picks and prepares medications or supplies under pharmacist review
  • Restocks supplies and medications
  • Delivers supplies and medications
  • May procure supplies and medications following standard purchasing guidelines
  • Provides feedback on stock level and on inventory control and delivery processes
  • Availability to work holidays, weekends and/or night shifts
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Pharmacy Technician is required
  • Puerto Rico Pharmacy License and Register must be active
  • Previous work experience in hospital is preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Work Shift:

    Jueves a Lunes 5:00pm a 1:30am
