Room Attendant- Army Hotels Inn Express- Fort Knox, Ky

Job Overview:

As a room attendant you will clean guest rooms and/or suites in a timely manner to ensure total guest satisfaction.

• Clean and service assigned rooms/areas according to IHG standards and procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, removing trash, and cleaning kitchen areas such as stove, refrigerators and coffee makers.
• Respond to guest complaints and special requests, and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
• Notify supervisor when service is completed so the room may be sold or occupied.
• Report any damage or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Report, turn in, and log all lost and found items according to IHG procedures.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Regularly assist with deep‑cleaning projects.
• Assist with other duties assigned.
• Work outside in different weather elements.
• Work weekends and holidays.

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Some housekeeping experience and ability to speak English is preferred.
• Ability to perform the following physical tasks:
  • Carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds and push or pull approximately 200 pounds.
  • Frequently stand up, move about the facility, and handle objects and equipment.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and walk up and down stairs.
