Overview
The AWS Cloud Logistics team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Specialist in Florence, KY to manage day-to-day warehousing operations and work on projects to enhance our operation. This is a role with an energetic and driven team.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the cloud. We work on challenging problems with many variables affecting the supply chain and are looking for talented people to help.
You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with AWS teams to deliver high safety and security standards while providing substantial capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers. An ideal candidate has a background in logistics and warehouse management, with strong data-driven problem resolution skills. The ability to work with external partners, pull and analyze data, drive process improvements, standardize processes, and eliminate root causes of defects within current systems is important. This role requires solid communication skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

- Engage in daily tactical communication with external vendors (Logistics Service Providers) and internal customers
- Lead large projects independently
- Travel to audit warehouses throughout NALA (mostly domestic USA)
- Analyze data from multiple databases (Excel, SQL, and/or other data management systems) and perform reporting and analysis as needed
- Publish performance metrics to drive business results
- Assess business impact of observed trends and make data-driven decisions
- Identify and eliminate root causes of defects to drive efficiency in Amazon’s transportation operations
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholder teams in the Supply Chain to solve problems and implement standards
- Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs

Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of vendor management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Travel up to 30% of the time
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, lookups, nested formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- 5+ years of driving process improvements experience
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
