Data Center Technician

Overview

Our client, a leading player in the eCommerce industry, is seeking a Computer Hardware Technician to join their team. As a Computer Hardware Technician, you will be part of the Data Center technical support team, ensuring the smooth operation of data center components. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, which will align successfully with the organization.

Position: Hardware Technician

Contract: 3-24 Month Contract, potential conversion

Location: Florence, KY (onsite)

Compensation: $26/HR plus Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, 401K Saving Options & Weekly Pay

Schedules: Day Shift 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST or Night Shift 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM EST

• Test and repair data center components using various testing rigs and jigs.
• Record test results in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed.
• Diagnose hardware and network problems followed by physical repairs.
• Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and achievement of daily/weekly goals.

• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
• Basic to intermediate system administration skills.
• Hands-on experience with computer hardware components and IT troubleshooting.
• Ability to execute small projects independently and collaborate on larger projects.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
