PositionSummary
Credence has an immediate need for a Configuration and Data Manager at the senior level who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Engineering Directorate (AFLCMC/EN-EZ) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The Engineering Directorate (AFLCMC/EN-EZ) has the collective AFMC mission responsibility for preeminent engineering expertise to acquire and support war-winning capabilities. To meet current and projected workload requirements in support of AFLCMC/EN-EZ, the Government must augment its organic (military and civil service) capabilities with Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support.
AFLCMC/EN-EZ is headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) OH with major units located at Eglin Air Force Base (AFB) FL, and Hanscom AFB, (HAFB) MA, as well as additional locations across the United States (US). The Engineering Directorate is currently organized into the following divisions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below:- Review program-unique specifications, including system, development, and product specifications for both hardware and software, for proper format, content, compliance with program requirements, and alignment with appropriate standards; process requests for nomenclature and Computer Program Identification Numbers (CPIN), and track requests through appropriate Government agencies for customer response.
- Support the configuration control function, including receipt, dissemination, processing, tracking, and final disposition of Advanced Change Study Notices (ACSN), Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Contract Change Proposals (CCP), Requests for Deviations (RFD), Requests for Waiver (RFW), Deficiency Reports (DR), airworthiness directive notes, service actions, and notices of deficiency.
- Review change proposals for thoroughness, configuration and data management impacts, and compliance with Government requirements; make appropriate recommendations for Government review and disposition; assist in the preparation and conduct of Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and business management boards, or their equivalent; maintain change proposal files and provide historical information as required.
- Support Functional Configuration Audits (FCA), Physical Configuration Audits (PCA), and compliance audits, including audit planning, auditing hardware and software Configuration Items (CI), and disposition and tracking of action items and minutes; support other program and engineering reviews and technical interchange meetings at Government and weapon system contractor facilities.
- Maintain configuration status accounting databases and records to reflect the configuration status of baseline documentation and fielded systems and equipment.
- Support acquisition and contracting database applications to ensure full-time operational support and maintain data repositories for accuracy and real-time availability of historical data; provide IT-related user support and reporting and implement corrections for deficiencies as available and required.
- Organize and issue data calls, draft data call letters for Government review and release, and assist data users and requesters with the selection and tailoring of Data Item Descriptions (DID), preparation of one-time and standard DIDs, and completion of data management forms, including Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) DD Form 1423 and Contractor Data Requirements Substantiation AF Form 585.
- Support data reviews by integrating inputs from program office and Integrated Product Team (IPT) functionals into draft CDRL items, preparing data review documentation, participating in data reviews, drafting data review minutes, and following up on and maintaining status of action items.
- Support preparation and maintenance of CDRLs for inclusion in Requests for Proposal (RFP), contracts, and contract modifications using automated or manual processing systems as specified in the applicable technical order; receive, log, track, and maintain current status of contract data deliverables; maintain electronic and manual data management files, including associated DID files; and provide associated historical information.
