We're hiring a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to support our manufacturing and warehouse operations. This role is responsible for coordinating all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring materials move efficiently throughout the plant, warehouse, and receiving locations. Working closely with production, warehouse teams, carriers, and third-party logistics providers, this position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting customer delivery requirements, and ensuring smooth day-to-day logistics operations.
This is a hands-on role that supports plant performance, customer service, and operational efficiency by managing transportation scheduling, shipment tracking, inventory transactions, and warehouse processes. Success in this position helps ensure uninterrupted production, timely deliveries, and a safe, organized warehouse environment.
- Coordinate and prioritize inbound and outbound shipments to support production schedules, customer requirements, and plant operations.
- Schedule, book, and track shipments using SAP or a similar ERP/MRP system while maintaining accurate inventory and shipping records.
- Communicate proactively with carriers, brokers, warehouses, and receiving plants to ensure on-time delivery and resolve transportation issues.
- Process incoming shipments, oversee receiving activities, and ensure accurate material receipts and inventory transactions.
- Maintain warehouse accuracy through lot control, trailer management, pallet tracking, handling unit (HU) creation, and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Support operational excellence initiatives by participating in physical inventories, conducting safety audits, maintaining 5S standards, and driving continuous process improvements.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment.
- Experience using MRPs system for inventory, production, shipping, or warehouse management.
- Experience scheduling transportation, booking loads, and coordinating shipments with carriers or third-party logistics providers.
- Strong computer, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, plus 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of inventory control, lot management, warehouse management processes, and physical inventory procedures.
- Experience working with transportation carriers, freight brokers, and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends as business needs require.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
