A highly skilled team of linemen, engineers, electricians, and foresters develop and maintain a 22-county transmission system. Big Rivers also employs approximately 100 professionals, from accountants to IT personnel to attorneys and marketing positions, at the cooperative Headquarters in Owensboro.

Responsibilities:
The candidate must possess skills in planning, prioritizing, and organizing activities; team builder and coach; motivator and energizer; ability to provide candid and constructive feedback; written and communication skills; knowledge of basic computer skills; capable of establishing goals and objectives to support strategic initiatives; ability to cope with and implement change; knowledge of power generation equipment and procedures. This position is responsible for supervising the production capabilities of the Company’s generating assets, ensuring adequate generating capacity and efficient utilization of the assets and resources necessary to deliver power to customers.
Plan and direct activities that provide for a safe, accident‑free workplace. Lead and direct all operational activities in a manner that supports a commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing adequate, efficient generation capacity through safe and reliable equipment operation in order to meet system generation requirements in the most cost‑effective manner by supervising multiple trades. Also, responsible for providing investment resource planning, forecasting, and coordinating work management systems to meet business needs. The individual must be able to identify and develop work management practices for preventive and predictive maintenance activities aimed at improving reliability and availability while focusing on personnel safety.
A thorough knowledge of generating plant equipment and maintenance processes and procedures. Well‑rounded knowledge in the trades of mechanical, electrical, machining, and instrumentation. Must possess skills in planning, prioritizing, and organizing activities; team builder and coach; motivator and energizer; ability to provide candid and constructive feedback; written and communication skills; knowledge of basic computer skills; capable of establishing goals and objectives to support strategic initiatives;
ability to cope with and implement change. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
