Operations Manager
Position Summary
Drives sales and financial performance in the Auto Care Center and service area by receiving and stocking merchandise, ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing and inventory management, budgeting and forecasting sales, assessing economic trends and community needs, and ensuring sales and profit goals are achieved. Provides customer service and assistance by acknowledging customers, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving customer issues, promoting products and services, and maintaining a safe shopping environment.
Works with automotive technicians to ensure they are trained and certified on service procedures, stages customer vehicles, and assists with workflow as necessary. Maintains the sales floor, orchestrates merchandise display, handles customer and merchandise claims, and monitors environmental disposal compliance (e.g., batteries, tires, oil). Coordinates job‑related activities, develops relationships with stakeholders, and supports plans to meet customer and business needs.
Provides supervision, development, and mentorship for associates, hiring, training, and recognizing their contributions. Ensures compliance with company policies, ethics, and regulatory standards, and promotes a culture of belonging and continuous learning.
- Receive, stock, price, and display merchandise for the Auto Care Center.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and inventory control to meet sales and profit objectives.
- Provide customer service, resolve issues, and promote products/services.
- Work with technicians to ensure proper training and certification on service procedures.
- Maintain the sales floor and service area, including environmental safety compliance.
- Coordinate and oversee job-related activities and assignments.
- Supervise, train, and mentor associates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- 2 years of experience in automotive service or service industry.
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to complete required job trainings and assessments.
- Automotive certification from an accredited institute.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership.
- Experience in automotive service or related field.
- ASE certification.
