What You’ll Do- Machine products to tight tolerances
- Read and interpret specification manuals, blueprints, templates and layouts to determine machining operation to be performed
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers
- Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces
- Adjust and set up machine tools for use by machining tool operators
- Participate in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements
- Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality
- Compute and verify dimensions to ensure accuracy
- Observe all applicable safety practices
- Carry out other duties as assigned
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- 3 to 5 years experience as a CNC VTL Machinist
- Previous or current knowledge and experience with manual machine tools operations
- Experience with operating lathes or mills and using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges, micrometers)
- Ability to read and interpret manuals and technical drawings
- Proficiency in precision measuring instruments and hand tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Preferred CNC l Machinist Certification
- VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) CNC experience
- High degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy and precision
