The Unit Assembly Coordinator provides hands‑on support to Assembly operations by ensuring material readiness, part availability, and organized inventory flow to support daily production execution. This role performs a combination of material handling, small mechanical subassembly, inventory control, and documentation tasks while coordinating closely with area supervision. The position exists to improve production flow, reduce material‑related disruptions, and support efficient day‑to‑day operations.

Scope

and Responsibilities
  • Actively supports a safe and healthy work environment for self and others
  • Sort, stage, and prepare parts and materials to support assembly operations
  • Identify, report, and document missing, incorrect, or insufficient materials
  • Assemble small mechanical subassemblies in accordance with standard work
  • Organize, maintain, and restock stockroom and staging areas to ensure material accuracy and accessibility
  • Perform inventory checks and support basic inventory control activities
  • Use basic computer tools (Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint) to track inventory, document discrepancies, and communicate status updates
  • Coordinate closely with the area supervisor to align priorities and address material or inventory issues
  • Work independently within defined tasks while supporting overall team priorities
  • Support production and material flow needs beyond primary assignment when required
  • Responsibilities may be reassigned by the supervisor as business needs evolve
Education / Certification

High School diploma or equivalent required

Skills
  • Basic mechanical aptitude, including ability to assemble small mechanical components
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in parts, quantities, or documentation
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Share Point
  • Ability to follow standard work instructions and documentation requirements
  • Demonstrated reliability, organization, and ability to work effectively in a team‑based environment
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
