Quality Technician 1st Shift

Job Description Matrix Pack North America is a rapidly growing food service manufacturing company located in Florence, Kentucky. We are looking for an experienced quality technician for first shift.

• Incoming inspections to confirm material is in specification and has maintained integrity
• Line inspections to confirm practices are followed
• Line inspections to confirm materials and products meet specifications
• Packaging inspections to confirm integrity of materials
• Reporting on inspection findings
• Alert production of any quality defects and troubleshooting.
• Review production documents daily.
• Lab and quality testing
• Data entry
• Assisting in management of controlled documents.
• Assisting with preparation and during audits.
• Secondary SQF Practitioner
• Attend and participate in quality meetings

• High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing setting with quality related position.
• Familiarity with the food service and/or paper industry.
• Knowledge of SQF and FSC practices preferred.
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and basic food safety principles preferred.
• Experience in continual improvement of SQF systems or other GFSI schemas preferred.
• Experience in communication with auditors and 3rd party certification bodies.
• A keen eye for detail.
• Communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Database management.
• The ability to closely follow quality standards.
• Strong decision-making skills
