JOB SUMMARY
The Calibration Technician is responsible for performing calibration and verification activities to ensure compliance with quality and industry standards. This role supports the Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control program, including verification and qualification activities, as well as torque tool calibration and verification. The technician will also assist with additional quality and engineering tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform calibration and verification of measurement and test equipment in accordance with established procedures and schedules
- Conduct ESD verification activities, including routine checks of ESD equipment and workstations
- Support ESD qualification processes for new and existing work areas, tools, and equipment
- Assist in maintaining and improving the ESD control program to ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., ANSI/ESD S20.20)
- Perform torque verification and calibration for tools and equipment
- Maintain accurate calibration records, logs, and documentation
- Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and support corrective actions
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely calibration and minimal production disruption
- Support audits and inspections related to calibration and ESD compliance
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and traceability of calibrated equipment
- Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of experience in calibration, quality, or related technical field preferred
- Knowledge of calibration methods, measurement systems, and test equipment
- Familiarity with ESD standards and practices (e.g., ANSI/ESD S20.20-2021)
- Experience with torque tools and calibration equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and procedures
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, calibration tracking systems)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
This position may require flexibility in scheduling and the ability to support multiple departments. The Calibration Technician is expected to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a high standard of quality and compliance.
