Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities- Enters data into computer for analysis.
- Selects products for testing at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics.
- Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
- Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
- Must have knowledge of proper use of standard measurement tools and metric system. (micrometers, calipers, etc)
- Must be able perform to operate force tester and hardness tester.
- Performs part layouts reports according to internal and drawing specifications.
- Perform in-process audits.
- Work with operators on print interpretations and use of gauging.
- Assist in training of operators to specific processing work instructions or gauging.
- Ability to thrive in multiple fast-paced, high stress manufacturing environments.
- Perform other duties as requested or required by management.
- Interprets engineering drawings and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- 2-year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience or Training in IATF
16949:2016, Basic Plant Safety, quality standards is preferred. - Must have visual inspection experience.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software, and MS Office platforms, (excel, word, outlook, etc).

Experience in automotive manufacturing and/or engineering and sales driven business.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
