Body Weld Group Leader

Summary/ Objective:

Coordinate activities of Team Members to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations while promoting a team environment and improving all methods.

Essential Functions (but are not limited to):

Ensures safety of self and others by following all Safety Policies/Procedures and wearing all required PPE.Evaluate, develop, and ensure appropriate training processes are completed when employees move to different jobs.

Ensure quality requirements and procedures for the area are understood and met.

Manage team members time and attendance and perform coaching as necessary to improve attendance and turnover.

Aid team members in solving problems/ concerns that affect their performance.

Evaluate the issue and consult Manager and/ or Human Resources as needed to determine the most effective resolution.

Review production schedules to ensure the manufacturing of product(s) is completed and scheduled delivery dates are met.

Plan and review production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products. Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent delays.

Report machine or personnel issues to their next direct member of leadership or management.

Utilize the appropriate personnel based on skill sets.

Develop & coordinate cost reduction activities to achieve yearly targets.

Monitor and adjust to meet expectations for quality, productivity, housekeeping, and safety.

Regular attendance is required.

Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.

Other Duties:

Must be flexible to work in all areas and in your department regardless of duties listed above in order to accomplish YKTA Goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications , Education, and

Experience:

Five years of production experience, with a minimum of two (2) plus years in a supervisory position.

Excellent communication skills.

Personal computer and software skills with Microsoft office experience, Plex experience is a plus.

Ability to read and follow instructions.

Environment:

Work is conducted in an industrial office/ plant setting.

Frequent movement throughout an industrial plant environment being exposed to high noise levels and equipment normally used in stamping / welding/ Ecoat environments.

Physical Demands:

Prolonged periods of standing on the plant floor.

Must be able to traverse the entire facility.

Must be able to lift up to 33 pounds ended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
