Shift: 2ND SHIFT 4 PM - 4 AM

Scope

A Microwave Operator is responsible for performing physical movement of raw materials and corresponding movements in the Ross Business system. Activities may include stacking raw goods up to eighty pounds and assigning these goods to specific License Plates for tracking in the Ross systems. In addition, they must aid in fat testing of newly received loads to determine fat content and condition of the product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stack raw products to meet specifications required for further processing in production areas.
  • Use handheld scanners to assign raw goods properly to License Plates for tracking and further movement as product moves to production areas.
  • Test raw goods using handheld power drill.
  • Observe condition of newly received loads for quality purposes.
  • Organize and clean immediate work area and refrigerated storage areas.
Success Criteria
  • Follow Safety/GMP/Food Safety/Quality policies.
  • Comply with BRC standards.
  • Maintain reporting accuracy.
  • Meet customer requirements.
Experience and Skill Requirements
  • Ability to build strong relationships, provide excellent customer service, and problem solve.
  • Must be able to lift up to eighty pounds dead weight.
  • General understanding of computer technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Able to handle small power tools.
  • Practice good work habits and follow GMP procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong math and organizational skills.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Team building, training, and teaching skills.
  • This position is on-site.
