Mill Machine Operator

Duties and Responsibilities
• Use of a crane
• Some physical lifting
• Use of technology such as SAP and Excel
• Mechanically inclined decision making
• Working off-shift
• On feet for extended amount of time Qualifications
• Ability to read, write and understand job documentation
• Physical coordination to lift and move product
• Trainable with fork lift truck
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Written and oral communication skills with attention to detail
• Math ability, including conversions (English & Metric units)
• Ability to read, use and understand measuring devices
• Ability to understand machine computer functions including PLC
• Ability to load material, perform changeovers, make needed adjustments during production and/or tooling changes
• Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders
• Knowledge of correct way to handle coils and load / feed material into rolling mill
• Ability to operate crane and move steel coils
• Ability to setup / recall programs for rolling mill
