A drawline operator is an integral position in our Coil Spring Wire business unit. The operator prepares a large strand of coil to go through the machine, loads it into the machine, ensures that it runs smoothly and finally takes it out of the machine ready for the next step. Computers are used to run the machine and program it correctly.

• Ability to read, write and understand job documentation
• Physical coordination to lift and move product
• Trained with forklift truck
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Written and oral communication skills with attention to detail
• Math ability, including conversions (English & Metric units)
• Ability to read, use and understand measuring devices
• Ability to understand machine computer functions
• Trainable with CNC, PLC controls and SPC documentation
• Ability to load material, perform changeovers, and make needed adjustments during production and/or tooling changes
