Machine Operator Lead- TEAM

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Has a fundamental responsibility to ensure product safety and quality as it applies to all duties listed below:

• Will have working knowledge of all the blow molding platforms in the plant.
• Will possess the skills and knowledge required to safely and efficiently operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain processes and run clean, safe production lines.
• Has responsibility to repair and/or provide information to the maintenance department and supervisor if a line is down and a maintenance person is required for the repair. Work with maintenance to solve issues quickly and get the line back into production.
• Coordinate operator(s) break time covering this period with overlap or extending operator coverage across more lines during the break.
• Communicate to Supervisors and/or manager of any extended machine downtime and/or productivity issues.
• Assess and coordinate new operator training, ensuring proper documentation is completed for all operator progressions.
• Fill the supervisory position if the supervisor is on vacation or otherwise unavailable.
• Evaluate and take appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.
• Inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts or conditions.
• Effectively use verbal and written communication skills.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
• Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching, and twisting.

This position requires the cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment with attention to detail. Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
