Shift: 2nd Shift 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Position OverviewProcessing mechanics maintain and troubleshoot processing equipment in the Florence manufacturing facility.
Job Responsibilities• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and rebuilds of valves, mills, pumps, and mechanical seals.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, systems, transmitters, indicators, relays, starters, and drives.
• Interpret and use P&IDs for equipment and process troubleshooting.
• Execute confined‑space entry procedures for tank seal repairs.
• Read schematics, process drawings, and product documentation to identify issues and plan repairs.
• Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities and support preventative maintenance programs.
• Work efficiently on multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
• Provide overtime work as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Minimum 3 years of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience (education plus experience, including military technical training)
- Ability to rebuild valves, mills, pumps, and mechanical seals
- Experience troubleshooting controls, systems, transmitters, indicators, relays, starters, and drives
- Knowledge of electronics, including single‑phase, three‑phase, AC, and DC
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs
- Willingness to work overtime and perform confined‑space entry as needed
- Good communication skills and strong organizational and prioritization abilities
- Knowledge of sanitary processing equipment
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Involvement with TPM processes
- Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs
- Work in confined spaces such as tanks and pipe chases
- Occasional bending, long standing periods, and continuous movement around the plant
