Job Description & How to Apply Below

Opportunities available across Ohio (multiple locations)

I’m currently partnering with several automotive and precision manufacturing organisations across Ohio who are looking to connect with CNC Machinists experienced in producing high‑tolerance, high‑specification components.

This post is not tied to a single live vacancy. Instead, it reflects ongoing demand for skilled machinists who can program, set, and operate CNC equipment to automotive and precision‑engineering standards. The aim is to build a pipeline of strong candidates for upcoming and future opportunities across the state.

Typical Responsibilities May Include
  • Programming, setting, and operating CNC mills and/or lathes (Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, etc.)
  • Producing precision components to tight tolerances using G‑code and basic CAM workflows
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
  • Performing first‑article inspections and in‑process quality checks
  • Troubleshooting machining issues and adjusting tooling, offsets, and parameters
  • Maintaining tooling, documenting setups, and supporting continuous improvement
  • Working to production targets while upholding safety and quality standards
We’re Interested in Profiles With
  • Hands‑on CNC machining experience within automotive or precision manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and inspection methods
  • Ability to work to tight tolerances and follow detailed technical specifications
  • Experience with multi‑axis machining or turning centres is highly beneficial
  • Familiarity with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers; CMM exposure a plus)
  • Reliable, safety‑focused work ethic with the ability to work day, night, or rotating shifts
Typical Backgrounds Could Include
  • CNC Machinist
  • Toolroom Machinist
  • Precision Machinist with automotive component experience
Salary Expectations

Compensation for CNC Machinists in Ohio typically varies based on experience, machine type, programming depth, and shift structure. As a general guide:

  • Entry level (0–2 yrs): $40K – $55K Suitable for machinists confident with basic setups, offsets, and reading drawings.
  • Mid‑level (2–5 yrs): $55K – $75K Common for machinists who can independently set up jobs, adjust tooling, and work to tight tolerances.
  • Experienced (5+ yrs): $75K – $95K+ Reflects machinists with strong programming ability (Fanuc/Haas/Siemens), multi‑axis experience, and a background in automotive or precision machining.

(Actual ranges may vary depending on machine complexity, programming responsibilities, shift premiums, and the specific demands of each facility.)

Industries We Commonly Support
  • Automotive components and assemblies
  • Precision machining and engineered products
  • Industrial equipment manufacturing
  • Tooling, fixtures, and metalworking environments
