The hours for this position are Sunday - Tuesday and every other Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Position SummaryThe Expeditor Lead serves as the primary liaison between production teams and inventory control, ensuring that materials, supplies, and components are delivered accurately and on time to support uninterrupted operations. This role is responsible for coordinating workflow between departments, tracking material movement, and ensuring timely fulfillment of production needs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities Production & Inventory Coordination- Act as the main communication link between production teams and inventory control
- Ensure required materials are released, staged, and delivered to production areas on time
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or risks to supply chain or inventory teams
- Track material movement to ensure accuracy between inventory records and production usage
- Prioritize and expedite material requests based on production schedules and urgency
- Coordinate timely flow of materials to prevent delays or bottlenecks in production
- Verify that delivered materials match specifications, quantities, and quality requirements
- Follow up on pending or delayed material requests and escalate when necessary
- Verify that all materials delivered meet required standards before release to production
- Identify and report discrepancies in inventory counts or material quality
- Assist in resolving issues related to missing, incorrect, or delayed materials
- Maintain organized staging and expediting areas
- Support inventory audits and cycle count as needed
- Help implement process improvements to streamline material flow and reduce delays
- Strong SAP and ERP system proficiency
- RF gun usage and transfers
- Microsoft Excel proficiency (data tracking, reporting, and analysis)
- Microsoft Outlook proficiency (communication, scheduling, coordination)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong investigative and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing demands effectively
- High attention to detail and accuracy
