Education Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of manufacturing, production, or supervisory experience
- Experience in heavy equipment manufacturing or steel fabrication preferred
- Strong knowledge of welding, cutting, forming, fit-up, assembly, blueprint reading, and dimensional inspection
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- SAP experience is a plus
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing and production operations
- Lead, train, and support machine operators, welders, assemblers, and production staff
- Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are achieved
- Manage labor, equipment, materials, and production resources efficiently
- Troubleshoot production issues, equipment malfunctions, and workflow bottlenecks
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment while following OSHA and company safety standards
- Conduct quality inspections and audits on materials, in-process work, and finished products
- Ensure products meet customer, regulatory, performance, and safety requirements
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve non-conformance issues, customer complaints, and warranty claims
- Train employees on quality standards, material handling, and quality control procedures
- Analyze production and quality data to identify opportunities for improvement
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, standard work, visual management, and waste reduction
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Assist with continuous improvement projects throughout the facility
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is preferred.
- Previous supervisory, team lead, shift lead, or production leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, production metrics, scheduling, or quality systems is beneficial.
- Experience coordinating with maintenance, quality, warehouse, engineering, or other operational departments is considered an asset.
- Individuals who are dependable, proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to motivate a diverse production team are well positioned for success as a Production Supervisor.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand and walk throughout production areas for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to bend, reach, climb stairs, and move throughout manufacturing or warehouse environments as required.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely work around production machinery, material handling equipment, noise, and other conditions common to manufacturing environments.
- Ability to remain active on the production floor while monitoring employees, equipment, safety, quality, and workflow.
