American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN
- Telemetry with pre/post cardiac cath and port management experience for a day shift position requiring a KY or compact license.

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:30
• Schedule includes 4 weekend shifts (2 Saturdays, 2 Sundays) and 3 Mondays and 3 Fridays within a 6-week period
• Potential for block scheduling, though not guaranteed
• Supports ED boarding patients awaiting inpatient beds, with potential float coverage to Observation, MS, and MS/Tele units
• Float requirements may include Edgewood and Florence campuses as needed
• Uses Epic EMR system
• No on-call requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum of 1.5 years of relevant telemetry experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with pre/post cardiac cath care and accessing/managing ports required
• Epic EMR experience required
• COVID vaccination (medical/religious exemptions only) and flu vaccination required

• Provide cardiac telemetry monitoring and emergency response care, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Support ED boarder patients and float to observation or step-down units as needed based on census
• Holiday coverage expected, with only one holiday RTO request permitted
• Scrubs must be navy blue with no agency or brand logos
• Tattoos and piercings allowed, but no nose rings or gauged earrings permitted
• Natural fingernails required for direct patient care, polish acceptable, nails must be less than 1/4 inch in length
• No cafeteria on-site, though refrigerator and microwave are provided
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at a reduced rate
• Previous travelers who completed assignments at this facility are not eligible to return as travel partners
• Staff who left full-time, part-time, or per diem roles must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers must take a 90-day system break after 1 year on assignment before returning
• Candidates who have applied for or are in process for a permanent role with the health system within the past 6 months are not eligible
