Part Time Associate Veterinarian – Tri-County Animal Clinic

Tri-County Animal Clinic in Louisa, Kentucky, is proud to be a cornerstone of pet care in our community with over 25 years of trusted service. Our clinic provides a comprehensive range of services from preventive care and diagnostics to surgery and cold laser therapy.

Position Overview

Join our team as a Part‑Time Veterinarian with predictable hours, a consistent home hospital assignment, and flexibility. This role allows you to stay clinically engaged while maintaining balance, connection, and continuity of care. Compensation for part‑time roles is prorated based on experience and hours worked; the salary ranges listed reflect full‑time roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
  • Client communication and education
  • Performing diagnostic procedures and surgery
  • Maintaining accurate medical records
  • Managing pharmacy duties, including prescribing medications and following controlled‑substance protocols
  • Promoting teamwork and staff efficiency
  • Collaborating with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
  • Evaluating and monitoring protocols for hospital operations from intake to discharge
  • Monitoring cases and attending daily rounds to uphold high standards
  • Participating in practice management updates and training at all levels
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications (Required)
  • Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
  • Current State Veterinary License
  • DEA registration maintained
  • At least 1 year of experience in a veterinary practice
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
  • Excellent surgical and dental skills
  • Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and high‑quality veterinary care
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks when required

  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge across examination and assessment of animals
  • Problem‑solving skills for high‑quality veterinary hospital management
  • Effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and staff

Pay Range

$110,000 — $140,000 USD
