Quality Technician III-Night Shift

Job Summary

The Quality Technician is responsible for performing a variety of quality control activities, including inspection, testing, and documentation, to ensure products meet specified quality standards. This role contributes to the overall quality assurance process within a manufacturing environment.

Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday 6p-6a

• Conduct in-process and final inspections of products, components, and assemblies against established specifications, blueprints, and quality standards.

• Perform various tests using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and specialized testing equipment.

• Document inspection and test results accurately and completely, identifying and reporting any deviations or non-conformances.

• Initiate and assist in the investigation of non-conforming materials or products, contributing to root cause analysis.

• Utilize quality control software and systems to record data, generate reports, and track quality metrics.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Collaborate with production personnel, engineers, and other quality team members to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

• Assist in maintaining calibration records for inspection and test equipment.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned by Quality management.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges).

• Basic understanding of quality control principles and methodologies.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be able to work the specific hours and days to be defined by the facility.

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
