Quality Technician Position
The Job Center has Quality Technician positions in the Florence area. If you are seeking long term employment with a well-established company, this could be the opportunity for you. The position offers a rotational shift from 6a m to 6 p m and pays $20/hr.
Responsibilities for a Quality Technician:- Prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into computer for analysis.
- Selects products for testing at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics.
- Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
- Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
- Must have knowledge of proper use of standard measurement tools and metric system. (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Must be able to perform programming and operate spring testers, hardness testers, and fatigue testing equipment.
- Performs part layouts reports according to internal and drawing specifications.
- Perform in-process audits and transfer materials as necessary in material planning system.
- Work with operators on print interpretations and use of gauging.
- Assist in training operators to specific processing work instructions.
- Ability to thrive in multiple fast-paced, high stress manufacturing environments.
- Perform other duties as requested or required by management.
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, blueprints, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.

- Associates degree in technical field
- Minimum 2 years automotive lab experience with knowledge of equipment and testing automotive materials/parts.
- Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, and tools used in the testing of automotive materials.
- Excellent communication skills, able to manage multiple tasks without supervision and effectively work with interruptions and task reprioritization to allow projects to meet milestones.
- General computer skills and attention to detail
