Quality Lab Technician

Location:

Florence, KY Pay Rate: $25.00 – $26.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday-Friday | 6:45 AM-3:15 PM Strong Eyes. Steady Hands. Solid Work. As a Quality Lab Technician in Florence, your job is to protect the process. You'll check, measure, and approve the work that keeps production moving forward. Looking for Quality Lab Technician jobs in Florence where attention to detail makes the difference? Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science with a minor in Chemistry preferred Equivalent experience may be considered in place of education

Experience Requirements At least 1 year of Quality Control experience in a GMP-regulated facility Experience with IR, UV/VIS, HPLC, and GC instruments required Knowledge of GMP, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 documentation preferred Experience with SPC methods, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions preferred Strong attention to detail, documentation, and data analysis skills Ability to travel 60-70% for initial training for approximately 4 months, then less than 10% travel afterward Ability to change shifts as needed to support business needs

Job Duties Test, evaluate, and record results for raw materials, production batches, and finished products Ensure products are produced according to Bill of Materials requirements Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation Prepare Certificates of Analysis and review raw material COAs Perform ATP testing and support release of micro-sensitive products Conduct GMP, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 audits Support waste minimization, environmental compliance, regulatory compliance, and returns disposition Review lab work instructions and train plant or lab personnel on procedures and equipment Participate in continuous improvement activities such as 5 Why investigations, Kaizen, and TPM Physical Capabilities PPE required;

contact lenses are not permitted Ability to stand for up to 4 hours at a time Ability to bend and stretch repetitively Ability to occasionally lift up to 45 pounds
