The Quality Engineer position is primarily responsible for supporting Internal 8D’s, Quality Alerts, Containment Actions, Concessions, and Plant to Plant Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for the SCU (Steering Control Unit) lines, Servo lines, and Sensor Unit lines. Additional responsibilities include supporting Product Audits, Process Audits, New Hire Orientation, Material Review Board (MRB), and Plant to Plant interaction topics. Frequent interactions with Quality Management Methods (QMM) Technicians, Manufacturing Operations (MFO) Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers (MFE), Manufacturing Operations (MFO), Assembly Line Workers, Team Leads, and Managers on all shifts of production will be required.

Interactions with Project Leads (PPL), Sales, and Design Engineers in Florence, Plymouth, and Queretaro will also be required. The QMM Engineer will provide daily direction and support to QMM Technicians. The QMM Engineer will functionally and disciplinarily report to the QMM Group Leader for additional tasks and escalation decisions.

• Internal 8D’s
• Support and facilitate internal plant quality 8D’s with cross functional team members for the SCU, Servo, and Sensor Unit lines.
• Plant to Plant Interaction
• Provide primary support activities concerning upstream and downstream plant to plant PPAP submissions
• Support problem solving and containment activities concerning upstream and downstream plant to plant deliveries
• Concessions
• Support concession tasks such as Risk Assessments, team reviews, and approvals as needed
• Quality Alerts
• Support and issue quality alerts when quality issues emerge
• Support, track, and audit quality alerts
• Containment Actions
• Communicate requirements, support training, and audit containment actions as required
• Perform SAP movements and transactions (ex: block and un-block)
• Internal PPAP’s
• Support Logistics and Change Management Coordinators with PPAP and Plant Trial Run (PTR) shipments
• Additional Responsibilities
• Product Audit Q-Tests
• Support the verification of OIS data as needed
• Process Audits
• Support Quality Management Systems (QMS) internal and external process audits, and 5S audits
• Presentation of Quality slides during New Hire Orientation according to the schedule provided by QMS
• Material Review Board (MRB) Topics
• Support weekly MRB meetings with MFE and MFO
• Support weekly Quality Hold Cage meetings with QMM Technicians

• The ideal candidate will have five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
