Overview

The starting pay range for this position per hour is $21.50 - $23.50. The full pay range for this position per hour is $21.50 - $36.55. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including labor markets and, in some cases, education, work experience and certifications.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.
  • Ensure every team member is trained and consistently delivers on Target’s guest experience commitments and operations.
  • Provide feedback and accountability while recognizing great guest experiences.
  • Review area guest, financial, and team metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve, and align the team on desired behaviors and execution.
  • Understand sales goals and plan daily/weekly workload to support department priorities and sales goals.
  • Lead a guest-focused, efficient Food & Beverage team and execute daily standards.
  • Assess backroom and sales floor areas daily; prioritize needs and assign workload; review reporting to identify trends.
  • Establish clear goals and expectations with the team and hold members accountable.
  • Partner with store leadership to influence sales performance and workload delivery; conduct daily check-ins and connections.
  • Maintain a fresh, full and food-safe area during all operating hours with strong inventory management and safety procedures.
  • Assign daily tasks to team members based on workload and guest traffic patterns.
  • Monitor progress on tasks and apply best practices through coaching and development.
  • Lead team huddles to communicate focus areas and trends using store reporting and HQ communications.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with vendors to ensure brand standards and in-stock conditions; place store-initiated orders where applicable.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant trends and products to educate team members.
  • Support hiring and onboarding of new team members.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup and drive-up while ensuring compliance with laws.
  • Lead the team to uphold brand standards and collaborate with district managers where applicable.
  • Complete required training and certifications as applicable.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethics, safety, and compliance; model safe behaviors and address hazards promptly.
  • Assist with store-level leadership on duty as needed and address emergency and compliance requirements.
  • All other duties as required by business needs.

Minimum Requirements (Training and Experience)
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Retail and/or food experience preferred, but not required.
  • Interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business.
  • Ability to lead and hold others accountable; strong communication and teamwork.
  • Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology as directed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; manage workload and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within time frames.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
  • Effective communication skills.
