Shift: 1st Shift
This position supports Business Development growth efforts by generating new business opportunities and leads through independent lead prospecting, research, cold calling, and networking. The role also supports Sales Ops processes by collaborating cross‑functionally with Purchasing, Operations, Technical, EH&S, and Account Management to onboard new business opportunities.
Responsibilities- Prepare quotes and manage Sales Ops process for new business opportunities
- Follow and work through the defined sales process independently
- Prospect, develop, and close new opportunities, leads, and achieve sales target goals
- Research product and industry‑specific prospects and create a full list of potential prospects and trade shows for the Business Development Leadership team to use for prospecting
- Identify key players (influencers, decision makers, etc.) within potential prospects and gain interest
- Meet minimum contacts per week and month targets for new business opportunities; track within CRM tool; handle inbound lead follow‑up and outbound cold calls and emails
- Travel and meet with customers, prospects, and industry events as needed
- Work independently to meet and exceed goals
- Present core competencies and capabilities, and identify target market opportunities
- Maintain multiple opportunities through long sales‑cycle process
- Support contract negotiation
- Identify target customers, sell strengths and capabilities as an industry leader in contract manufacturing, and close new business opportunities/partnerships
- Communicate effectively (verbal & written) with internal/external prospects, clients, and Camco team members
- Demonstrated experience and track record of effectively communicating value proposition
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and MS Teams
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field preferred
- 3‑5 years of experience in cold calling sales and/or account management
