Job Description

BES is seeking a Purchasing Procurement Specialist for IT goods, products, and services.

• Must understand computer technology products and the needs of customers.
• Must be clean cut and have reliable transportation.
• Must have a strong work ethic and high level of integrity.
• Must be highly customer focused and understand the needs of the business.
• Must have a solid understanding of computer technology and willingness to learn.
• Must have the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem‑solving skills.
• Must be a team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to take required technology exams & certifications as needed by the company.

• Look up computer parts, build PC and server configurations online using manufacturer configuration tools.
• Prepare quotes and purchase orders by verifying specifications and prices, place orders with suppliers, monitor and expedite orders, resolve shipment errors and RMAs with suppliers.
• Research and locate software applications and build customer quotes.
• Experience working with technology distributors and technology purchasing.
• Maintain contact with vendors, obtain quotations, and examine bids.
• Apply knowledge of BES and partner product offerings to propose technology solutions and value propositions to customers.
• Support the sales team in a pre/post‑sales technical role.
• Assist with inner office projects as needed, maintaining a team‑oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
