Drive Your Career Forward with Efficient Automotive Equipment Solutions (EAES)

Location:

Primarily in Ohio with regional travel

Status:
Full-time, Non-Exempt

EAES continues to grow, and we’re looking for a skilled, customer-focused Installation & Service Technician to join our team. If you enjoy hands‑on mechanical work, problem‑solving, and helping auto repair shops operate at their best, this is the role for you.

As an Installation & Service Technician, you’ll work directly with automotive repair shops at their locations to install, maintain, and repair specialty equipment. You’ll ensure installations meet safety and manufacturer standards, diagnose and solve equipment issues, and provide outstanding service that keeps our customers running smoothly.

You’ll be the face of EAES onsite—trusted, knowledgeable, and committed to supporting shop productivity and safety.

What You’ll Do
  • Install automotive shop equipment including lifts, balancers, compressors, alignment systems, diagnostic units, and more.
  • Test, calibrate, and verify that all equipment is operating safely and correctly.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and complete onsite repairs.
  • Train customers on equipment operation, care, and safety best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with shop owners, technicians, and managers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including service notes, parts usage, and equipment records.
  • Manage your tools, vehicle, and service materials with professionalism and care.
  • Provide remote troubleshooting support as needed.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–3 years of mechanical, electrical, or related technical experience; automotive shop experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A customer‑service mindset and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while representing EAES with professionalism and integrity.
  • Valid, unencumbered driver’s license and insurability.
  • Passport required for training and occasional travel to Toronto.
Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands‑on role within busy automotive environments. You should be comfortable with:

  • Lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Occasional ladder use to access elevated equipment.
  • Working in environments with noise, dust, grease, and varying temperatures.

    Regular driving between customer sites.
Why EAES?

EAES is a fast‑growing company working with independent auto shops and dealerships to improve their productivity and profitability. Our employees will earn a competitive compensation and benefits package, including base plus commission, vacation and sick leaves, and will be provided with a company vehicle to utilize during work hours. We also offer a retirement plan, basic life and AD&D, disability insurances, and medical, dental, and vision options.

  • Base rate of $45k ($1875 per pay, 24 pays per year). This will start immediately on the first day of working and will remain the base pay.
  • After you are trained and start installing, you will get 25% for each installation on top of the base rate.
Where You’ll Work

This position is primarily onsite at customer repair shops throughout Ohio and surrounding states, with training travel required (including Toronto).
