Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

Position Summary

As a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at Walmart, you will maintain and repair refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets, ensuring the facility operates safely and efficiently.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities' refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart refrigeration HVAC safety policies and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights as needed.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification.
• 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls, or 4 years experience in the same field.

• Completion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
