About the Role
We're looking for a Maintenance Technician to help maintain and improve our Florence properties. This full-time, on-site position runs Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.
-5:00 p.m., with an on-call rotation one week per month.

What You'll Do
Work Orders & Property Maintenance (60%)
- Troubleshoot basic plumbing, light electrical, and light HVAC issues
- Complete painting, repairs, and general upkeep to high standards
- Manage work orders via iPhone app, prioritizing and escalating tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards
- Assist with inventory and maintain an organized workspace
- Keep residents, vendors, and team members informed on progress
- Coordinate with property management and vendors to complete work efficiently
- Contribute to a positive resident experience through clear communication
- Respond to emergencies during scheduled after-hours shifts (one week per month)
- Address interruptions or unplanned maintenance needs promptly
- Support team objectives and uphold Uptown's service standards
• What You'll Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- 1+ year of experience in make-ready, property maintenance, or a similar role
- Comfort with hand tools and moderate-to-heavy physical demands (lift 50-100+ lbs, climb ladders, stand ~90% of the workday)
- Self-starter with problem-solving skills and a team-player attitude
