Mobile HVAC​/R Engineer

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and maintain all HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment and systems in assigned facilities to achieve efficient operating results and extend equipment life.
• Ensure equipment is maintained in an energy‑efficient, safe manner, reducing downtime by anticipating necessary repairs and keeping detailed operating records.
• Perform inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment on all HVAC/R systems.
• Demonstrate technical expertise in HVAC and refrigeration and multi‑skill competency in electrical, piping/plumbing, and material handling equipment to complete daily/weekly assignments.
• Execute preventive and repair‑response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems and components.
• Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC/R systems, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repairs, grounds, and production equipment related to assigned buildings.
• Become familiar with equipment and methods required for daily activities and apply them correctly.
• Conduct assigned facility inspections and due‑diligence efforts, reporting conditions that impact client occupancy and operations.
• Submit P‑card receipts daily.
• Update work order status in real time.
• Use CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed.
• Maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Be available for call‑in work and perform other duties as required.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
• Minimum four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering covering HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of overall system design and applications.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial or supermarket refrigeration.

• Experience utilizing CMMS (Work Order) systems.
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
• Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC.
