About the RoleWe are seeking a Fire Systems Technician to install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm and fire suppression systems within mission‑critical facilities. This role supports Fire Life Safety (FLS) compliance and ensures the reliability of critical infrastructure in a 24/7 operational environment.
Key Responsibilities- Install, program, and commission fire alarm systems, including control panels, detectors, VESDA systems, and notification devices.
- Install and maintain fire suppression systems, including pre‑action, clean agent, dry, and wet pipe systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and testing in accordance with NFPA standards.
- Diagnose and resolve system faults, alarms, and equipment malfunctions.
- Perform emergency repairs and restore system functionality.
- Verify proper operation of fire alarm, detection, and suppression systems.
- Maintain accurate inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair records.
- Complete work orders using asset‑management systems.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, local regulations, and site requirements.
- Coordinate with operations, engineering, and vendor teams.
- Communicate system status, issues, and recommendations to site leadership.
- High school diploma or GED.
- NICET Level I in Fire Alarm Systems (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- 2+ years of experience with fire alarm and/or fire suppression systems.
- Knowledge of NFPA 72.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Valid driver's license.
- NICET Level II or higher.
- Experience with VESDA, Simplex, Notifier, or Edwards systems.
- Knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 25, and NFPA 70.
- Experience in mission‑critical environments such as data centers, healthcare, or manufacturing facilities.
- OSHA 10/30 certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to wear required PPE and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
