F6 is a rapidly growing HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturing company, supporting hyperscale data center infrastructure across the United States.
We are seeking HVAC technicians who enjoy diagnosing problems and bringing complex systems online, especially in mission‑critical cooling environments.
Pay: $40 – $48 per hour
Travel: Travel may be required depending on project assignment. Travel costs covered by company (flight, hotel and car rental). Per diem for food.
What You’ll DoField Service Technicians support the startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of mission‑critical cooling systems used in hyperscale data centers. The role is hands‑on and requires minimal supervision while working alongside senior technicians during complex startup activities.
Equipment Startup & Commissioning SupportSupport startup and commissioning activities for:
- Computer Room Air Handlers (CRAH)
- In‑Row Heat Exchangers (IRHX)
- Data Center Air Handling Units (DAHU)
Key responsibilities:
- Execute pre‑functional equipment checks
- Assist with functional commissioning tests
- Verify equipment installation and piping connections
- Identify system performance issues
Diagnose and assist in resolving issues involving:
- Hydronic cooling systems
- Chilled water systems
- Glycol cooling loops
- Air handling equipment
- Pumps and valves
Technicians must understand system flow and assist with identifying root causes of equipment performance issues.
Electrical & Controls TroubleshootingTroubleshoot issues involving:
- 120V and 480V electrical systems
- VFD operation
- Sensors and instrumentation
Technicians should be comfortable reading electrical schematics and diagnosing system control issues.
Field Operations SupportSupport project teams by:
- Participating in daily safety meetings
- Coordinating with startup leads and senior technicians
- Supporting commissioning activities
- Maintaining organized documentation and equipment records
- Communicating primarily via Microsoft Teams
Assist with completing:
- Startup checklists
- Equipment inspection reports
- Field troubleshooting notes
- End of Day Reports
- Monthly Expense Reports (within 7 days of receipt)
- All safety documentation including JHA, JSA, PTP
Technicians must maintain clear documentation of equipment conditions and system performance during startup activities.

Strong troubleshooting ability and leadership potential can lead to advancement to Senior Field Service Technician (Level
3).
- 3+ years’ experience with HVAC, mechanical systems, or industrial equipment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Experience with hydronic systems preferred
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and piping diagrams
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience
- Familiarity with electrical schematics and control systems
- Valid driver’s license required
- Reliable transportation required for local travel when applicable
- Willingness to fly to work regions
- Experience in commercial HVAC service
- Experience with Turbocor compressor systems
- Ability to work in active construction environments
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to work extended hours during critical startup periods
