Job Title: Open Text Exstream Developer – Senior (7+ years)

Location: (Columbus, OH) Onsite

Duration: Contract - 12 months

We are seeking a Senior Open Text Exstream Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in high-volume batch composition, PDF and AFP output engineering, and data integration for customer communications and a proven ability to deliver stable, performant, and compliant print-ready outputs at scale.

• Design, build, and maintain Exstream batch applications with predictable throughput and restartability.
• Engineer PDF and AFP outputs with consistent fidelity, proper resource usage, and deterministic behavior.
• Define and govern composition data contracts and implement robust mapping and validation gates.
• Tune performance for batch scale, including layout complexity, conditional logic, resources, and I/O.
• Build and maintain golden-sample regression suites and conduct edge-case testing for regulated communications.
• Execute disciplined release management with version control, impact analysis, and rollback readiness.
• Integrate with enterprise schedulers, produce runbooks, and implement monitoring and reconciliation checks.

• Expertise in Open Text Exstream batch composition, template architecture, and deterministic pagination.
• Deep knowledge of PDF fidelity, font and image handling, barcode quality, and output optimization.
• Strong AFP fundamentals including overlays, page segments, and resource management for print streams.
• Proficiency in defining hierarchical data models, mapping, null/default handling, and data validation.
• Proven performance tuning in batch environments and memory/throughput management.
• Experience building regression suites and conducting edge-case testing for compliance-critical outputs.
• Release governance with version control, traceability, change approvals, and PII handling controls.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Exstream or equivalent CCM batch composition roles.

• Experience designing channel parity between PDF and AFP with controlled exceptions.
• Background in enterprise scheduling, job orchestration, and operational monitoring.
