Under the direction of the shift supervisor and/or the shift team leader, the CDL Shuttle Driver will be responsible for operating a semi‑tractor trailer vehicle for the loading and delivery of products to/from the plant to the warehouse in a manner consistent with all safety, quality, and operational work instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Safely operate the shuttle vehicle on each trip, following all applicable laws and company policy.
- Account for records involving trailer numbers and vehicle positions.
- Interact daily with warehouse supervisors and comply with warehouse safety requirements.
- Communicate using cellular telephone or 2‑way radio with operations and warehouse personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed, and place safety wheel chocks in front of wheels to prevent the trailer from rolling. When moving a pup trailer, use the trailer jack stand appropriately and notify the customer if no jack stand is installed.
- Properly use airline/electrical hookup and backing procedures.
- Follow all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on equipment daily.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and yard.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.

MinimumRequired Qualifications
- Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). - License:
Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement. - Experience:
Minimum 2 years of verified tractor‑trailer experience within the past 4 years. - Other:
Clean driving record; meet DOT physical requirements and maintain a valid medical certificate; pass road and backing test during onboarding.
