Title:

Driver, Local Shuttle (Class-A), Local Shuttle. Time Type:
Full Time (night & weekend shift).

The local shuttle driver will be responsible for executing local deliveries within a 50-mile radius with a tractor-trailer with the utmost care, professionalism, and accuracy.

• Local drivers start at $30.00 - $32.00 an hour, which include shift differential for overnight shifts (based on experience)

• Operate tracter trailer, safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and the Department of Transportation
• Accurately and efficiently load and unload cargo, often using a manual or powered pallet jack
• Backs truck to customer dock.
• Maintains compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and safe and professional driving behavior.
• Communicates with customer representatives in pleasant, respectful, and efficient manner.
• Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers.
• Complies with all DOT requirements including drug and alcohol testing (subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing).
• Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle.
• Ensure that any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
• Performs other duties as required.

• Class A CDL Required
• Minimum of 2 yrs. of Verified experience within the past 4 yrs. 3+ Preferred.
• Minimum 1yr Medical Certificate
  - Minimum ICC requirements related to physical qualifications as set forth under Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 391.41, Physical Qualifications of Drivers.
• Experience in load securement, route planning, and navigating various road conditions.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle sensitive cargo with care.
• Detail-oriented / mindset required.
• No positive drug or alcohol test result in the past five (5) yrs.
• No accident involving bodily injury within the last three (3) yrs.
• No DUI/DWI, Reckless Driving or Speeding Tickets 12mph or higher in the past (5) yrs.

While performing the duties of a shuttle driver, the employee is required to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle. The employee must use hands and fingers to operate a steering wheel, controls, GPS devices, and other on-board equipment.
