Position SummaryThe Inventory Control Associate is responsible for operating MHEs for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting. Computer data entry is required for receipts, shipments, and inventory maintenance. The Associate assists the supervisor/manager in ensuring facility compliance with quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain accurate warehouse inventory.
- Direct customer interface to answer questions and resolve issues.
- Return material from customers to the factory.
- Transfer material to the appropriate area.
- Relocate material to keep and maintain inventory range and locations.
- Safely use all equipment.
- Function autonomously, reporting progress and issues to supervisor/management.
- Follow company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Maintain records and reports to ensure inventory control and security. Conduct physical inventory as required. Assist daily/monthly cycle counts when required and support shipping/receiving in locating missing items.
- Perform safety audits per operation requirements. Report and correct any unsafe operations.
- Participate in daily start‑up and staff meetings as required. Assist supervision as needed.
- Use PC skills for e‑mail and generating reports.
- Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of non‑conformities related to product, process, and quality systems. Identify and record problems; recommend solutions through designated channels.
- Review and investigate inbound/outbound functions including unloading, checking, orderly stacking, storing, order pulling, staging, labeling, and loading. Ship material to the factory upon client requests. Notify management when procedures require updates.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Perform housekeeping audits per operation requirements.
- Assist leadership as needed.
- Work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required. Participate in cross‑training to improve knowledge across multiple departments and assist as a backup associate when needed.
- Work overtime as dictated by business.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Execute all safety protocols and complete job tasks in a manner that promotes safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facility and handle security responsibilities.
- Comply with all SOPs, corporate and site‑specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 6 months experience in a logistics or distribution environment.
- Ability to operate MHE.
- Can work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months.
- Completion of a forklift training program.
- Basic computer skills.
- RF scanners.
- WMS functions.
- Basic to intermediate mathematical skills to verify quantities and inventory.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Adaptability to change in a fast‑paced environment.
- 1‑3 years’ experience in an inventory department.
- 1‑3 years of forklift experience.
- Current or prior MHE certification.
- Occasional lifting of 21‑50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, walking, standing, and handling of product and/or packaging materials.
- Low to moderate noise level; rarely exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
- Standard office lighting and climate control.
