Position begins  school year. Salary is based on the 2026/2027 contract. Salary schedule is based on the  school year. New hires typically begin at Step 1 on the Salary Schedule. Siuslaw School District allows step credit the salary scale for years of certified teaching experience.

This is a 10-month renewable position, that includes benefits of paid medical and leave. All offers of employment are contingent upon board approval and the applicant’s satisfactory completion of a drug screening test (including marijuana), background and reference checks. Teacher, High School Chemistry and Physics, Certified, 1.0 FTE

Instructs students in the skills and processes of science commensurate with the level of course assignment(s).

• Oregon Teaching Certificate valid for assignment.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
• Familiarity with and ability to make appropriate use of technology.
• Strong behavior and classroom management skills.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
