Job Description

Peace Health Rehab and Wellness Center in Florence, Oregon is seeking a Director of Rehabilitation Services for a full‑time, 1.00 FTE, day position. Salary range $71.02–$106.54 per hour. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors including education, training, work experience, collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

This position provides operational leadership and plans, develops, and directs patient care programs and related capital projects for Rehabilitation Services in the assigned network. The Director must ensure quality and performance improvement activities meet target conditions, adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, and remain ready for survey.

• Provide leadership for operational effectiveness, clinical excellence, and personnel management; supervise staff for assigned services and programs.
• Create and monitor infrastructure, systems, processes, and standards to achieve desired outcomes in collaboration with medical directors, department chairs, and medical staff.
• Conduct fiscal and business planning that promotes revenue enhancements and cost efficiency; develop, implement, and monitor operating and capital budgets; be accountable for meeting budgetary and operational targets.
• Develop strategic and long‑range plans and policies for effective implementation and operation of specific patient care programs and associated activities.
• Direct recruitment, training, and evaluation of personnel.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts that promote clinical excellence, revenue enhancement, and cost efficiency; establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, department managers, staff, and customers that lead to measurable improvement in patient care outcomes, efficiency, and customer service.
• Develop clinical processes that assure patient safety; be accountable for knowledge of and achieving or exceeding national benchmarks and patient safety goals for scope of accountability.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for all areas of responsibility.
• Monitor, communicate, and work to improve patient, physician, and staff satisfaction.
• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate new patient care programs and practice models including identification of clinical objectives, capital and other resource requirements, expected operating revenues and expenses, allocation of space, and organization of program personnel and other operation components.

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Nursing, or related healthcare field.
• Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of related clinical experience.
• Three years progressively responsible healthcare management experience.
• Experience with business development, budgeting, and team development preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in developing successful working relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.
• Current licensure in Oregon for profession preferred.
